Description
Human NAAA Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human NAAA Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser29-Phe125, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 13.26 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. N-acylethanolamine-hydrolyzing acid amidase (NAAA) is a ~40 kDa protein. Degrades bioactive fatty acid amides to their corresponding acids, with the following preference: N-palmitoylethanolamine > N-myristoylethanolamine > N-lauroylethanolamine = N-stearoylethanolamine > N-arachidonoylethanolamine > N-oleoylethanolamine. For research use only.
Also exhibits weak hydrolytic activity against the ceramides N-lauroylsphingosine and N-palmitoylsphingosine.
