Human NELFE Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human NELFE Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser249-Phe380, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 16.96 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Negative elongation factor E is a ~43 kDa protein. Essential component of the NELF complex, a complex that negatively regulates the elongation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. The NELF complex, which acts via an association with the DSIF complex and causes transcriptional pausing, is counteracted by the P-TEFb kinase complex. Provides the strongest RNA binding activity of the NELF complex and may initially recruit the NELF complex to RNA.
