Human Neurofibromin ELISA

NF1 (Neurofibromin 1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NF1 gene located on chromosome 17. Neurofibromin 1 acts as a tumor suppressor, which means that it helps to prevent the development of certain types of tumors. Mutations in the NF1 gene can lead to the development of neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), a condition characterized by the growth of tumors on nerve tissue. Diseases associated with NF1 include Neurofibromatosis-Noonan Syndrome and Neurofibromatosis, Type I. Among NF1 related pathways are RET signaling and Signaling by PTK6.
