Description
Human NSFL1C Recombinant Protein (N-His-SUMO)
Human NSFL1C Recombinant Protein (N-His-SUMO) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser271-Thr370, with an N-terminal His-SUMO tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.35 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. NSFL1 cofactor p47 (NSFL1C) is a ~40 kDa protein. Reduces the ATPase activity of VCP. For research use only.
Necessary for the fragmentation of Golgi stacks during mitosis and for VCP-mediated reassembly of Golgi stacks after mitosis. May play a role in VCP-mediated formation of transitional endoplasmic reticulum (tER). Inhibits the activity of CTSL (in vitro). Together with UBXN2B/p37, regulates the centrosomal levels of kinase AURKA/Aurora A during mitotic progression by promoting AURKA removal from centrosomes in prophase.
