Description
Human ODC1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ODC1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp15-Leu259, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 28.99 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Ornithine decarboxylase (ODC1) is a ~51 kDa protein. Catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step of polyamine biosynthesis that converts ornithine into putrescine, which is the precursor for the polyamines, spermidine and spermine. Polyamines are essential for cell proliferation and are implicated in cellular processes, ranging from DNA replication to apoptosis.
