Description
Human OS9 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human OS9 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn32-Gln251, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.48 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Protein OS-9 (OS9) is a ~75 kDa protein. Lectin component of the HRD1 complex, which functions in endoplasmic reticulum (ER) quality control and ER-associated degradation (ERAD). For research use only.
Specifically recognizes and binds improperly folded glycoproteins as well as hyperglycosylated proteins, retain them in the ER, and transfers them to the ubiquitination machinery and promote their degradation. Possible targets include TRPV4 as well as hyperglycosylated HSP90B1.
