Description
Human P2RX4 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human P2RX4 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gln55-Asp331, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 32.98 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. P2X purinoceptor 4 (P2RX4) is a ~43 kDa protein. ATP-gated nonselective transmembrane cation channel permeable to potassium, sodium and calcium. For research use only.
CTP, but not GTP or UTP, functions as a weak affinity agonist for P2RX4. Activated by extracellularly released ATP, it plays multiple role in immunity and central nervous system physiology. Plays a key role in initial steps of T-cell activation and Ca(2+) microdomain formation. Also participates in basal T-cell activity without TCR/CD3 stimulation.
