Description
Human PAK6 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PAK6 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr386-Cys681, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 36.04 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Serine/threonine-protein kinase PAK 6 (PAK6) is a ~74 kDa protein. Serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a role in the regulation of gene transcription. For research use only.
The kinase activity is induced by various effectors including AR or MAP2K6/MAPKK6. Phosphorylates the DNA-binding domain of androgen receptor/AR and thereby inhibits AR-mediated transcription. Also inhibits ESR1-mediated transcription. May play a role in cytoskeleton regulation by interacting with IQGAP1.
