Human PBK Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PBK Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met35-Val322, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 34.58 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Lymphokine-activated killer T-cell-originated protein kinase (PBK) is a ~36 kDa protein. Phosphorylates MAP kinase p38. For research use only.
Seems to be active only in mitosis. May also play a role in the activation of lymphoid cells. When phosphorylated, forms a complex with TP53, leading to TP53 destabilization and attenuation of G2/M checkpoint during doxorubicin-induced DNA damage.
