Human PC Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro36-Glu486, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 52.17 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Pyruvate carboxylase, mitochondrial (PC) is a ~129 kDa protein. Pyruvate carboxylase catalyzes a 2-step reaction, involving the ATP-dependent carboxylation of the covalently attached biotin in the first step and the transfer of the carboxyl group to pyruvate in the second.
