Description
Human PCK2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PCK2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala292-Met640, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 41.31 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase [GTP], mitochondrial (PCK2) is a ~70 kDa protein. Mitochondrial phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase that catalyzes the conversion of oxaloacetate (OAA) to phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP), the rate-limiting step in the metabolic pathway that produces glucose from lactate and other precursors derived from the citric acid cycle. For research use only.
Can play an active role in glyceroneogenesis and gluconeogenesis. Also acts as a serine/threonine-protein kinase: phosphorylates and activates ACSL4, thereby promoting ferroptosis.
