Description
Human PCLAF Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PCLAF Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Glu111, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 14.15 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. PCNA-associated factor (PCLAF) is a ~11 kDa protein. PCNA-binding protein that acts as a regulator of DNA repair during DNA replication. For research use only.
Following DNA damage, the interaction with PCNA is disrupted, facilitating the interaction between monoubiquitinated PCNA and the translesion DNA synthesis DNA polymerase eta (POLH) at stalled replisomes, facilitating the bypass of replication-fork-blocking lesions. Also acts as a regulator of centrosome number.
