Description
Human PDXK Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PDXK Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gln29-Lys253, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Pyridoxal kinase (PDXK) is a ~35 kDa protein. Catalyzes the phosphorylation of the dietary vitamin B6 vitamers pyridoxal (PL), pyridoxine (PN) and pyridoxamine (PM) to form pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (PLP), pyridoxine 5'-phosphate (PNP) and pyridoxamine 5'-phosphate (PMP), respectively (Probable). For research use only.
PLP is the active form of vitamin B6, and acts as a cofactor for over 140 different enzymatic reactions.
