Human PFN1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Gln139, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 17.05 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Profilin-1 (PFN1) is a ~15 kDa protein. Binds to actin and affects the structure of the cytoskeleton. For research use only.
At high concentrations, profilin prevents the polymerization of actin, whereas it enhances it at low concentrations. By binding to PIP2, it inhibits the formation of IP3 and DG. Inhibits androgen receptor (AR) and HTT aggregation and binding of G-actin is essential for its inhibition of AR.
