Human PON2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser31-Leu354, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 38.52 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Serum paraoxonase/arylesterase 2 (PON2) is a ~39 kDa protein. Capable of hydrolyzing lactones and a number of aromatic carboxylic acid esters. For research use only.
Has antioxidant activity. Is not associated with high density lipoprotein. Prevents LDL lipid peroxidation, reverses the oxidation of mildly oxidized LDL, and inhibits the ability of MM-LDL to induce monocyte chemotaxis.
