Human PON3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Leu22-Leu354, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 39.8 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Serum paraoxonase/lactonase 3 (PON3) is a ~39 kDa protein. Has low activity towards the organophosphate paraxon and aromatic carboxylic acid esters. For research use only.
Rapidly hydrolyzes lactones such as statin prodrugs (e.g. lovastatin). Hydrolyzes aromatic lactones and 5- or 6-member ring lactones with aliphatic substituents but not simple lactones or those with polar substituents.
