Description
Human PPIE Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PPIE Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Tyr41-Val264, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.37 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase E (PPIE) is a ~33 kDa protein. Involved in pre-mRNA splicing as component of the spliceosome. For research use only.
Combines RNA-binding and PPIase activities. Binds mRNA and has a preference for single-stranded RNA molecules with poly-A and poly-U stretches, suggesting it binds to the poly(A)-region in the 3'-UTR of mRNA molecules. Catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in proteins. Inhibits KMT2A activity; this requires proline isomerase activity.
