Description
Human PSAP Recombinant Protein (C-His)
Human PSAP Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Gly17-Asn524, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 59.39 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Prosaposin is a ~58 kDa protein. Saposin-A and saposin-C stimulate the hydrolysis of glucosylceramide by beta-glucosylceramidase (EC 3.2.1.45) and galactosylceramide by beta-galactosylceramidase (EC 3.2.1.46). For research use only.
Saposin-C apparently acts by combining with the enzyme and acidic lipid to form an activated complex, rather than by solubilizing the substrate.
