Human PTDSS1 Recombinant Protein (N-His-KSI) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Tyr405-Lys473, with an N-terminal His-KSI tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.65 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Phosphatidylserine synthase 1 is a ~55 kDa protein. Catalyzes a base-exchange reaction in which the polar head group of phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) or phosphatidylcholine (PC) is replaced by L-serine. For research use only.
Catalyzes mainly the conversion of phosphatidylcholine. Also converts, in vitro and to a lesser extent, phosphatidylethanolamine.
