Human PTER Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PTER Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Lys349, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 41.18 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. N-acetyltaurine hydrolase is a ~39 kDa protein. N-acetyltaurine hydrolase that regulates feeding by catalyzing the hydrolysis of N-acetyltaurine into taurine and acetate. For research use only.
N-acetyltaurine has anorexigenic and anti-obesity effects that are dependent on GFRAL receptor and GDF15. PTER also acts on other N-acetyl amino acids (Met, Ile, Leu, Val) and N-propionyltaurine, but at lower rates.
