Description
Human PTPRN Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PTPRN Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning His603-Gln979, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 44.81 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase-like N (PTPRN) is a ~105 kDa protein. Plays a role in vesicle-mediated secretory processes. For research use only.
Required for normal accumulation of secretory vesicles in hippocampus, pituitary and pancreatic islets. Required for the accumulation of normal levels of insulin-containing vesicles and preventing their degradation. Plays a role in insulin secretion in response to glucose stimuli. Required for normal accumulation of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin in the brain.
