Human RAB5C Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn17-Leu182, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 20.79 kDa. Ras-related protein Rab-5C is a ~23 kDa protein. Rabs cycle between an inactive GDP-bound form and an active GTP-bound form that is able to recruit to membranes different sets of downstream effectors directly responsible for vesicle formation, movement, tethering and fusion. Involved in early endocytic trafficking. Required for EEA1 recruitment to early endosomes. Required for EGF and transferrin endocytosis and trafficking through early endosomes.
