Human RASGRF2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser1002-Arg1234, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 29.33 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Ras-specific guanine nucleotide-releasing factor 2 is a ~140 kDa protein. Functions as a calcium-regulated nucleotide exchange factor activating both Ras and RAC1 through the exchange of bound GDP for GTP. For research use only.
Preferentially activates HRAS in vivo compared to RRAS based on their different types of prenylation. Functions in synaptic plasticity by contributing to the induction of long term potentiation.
