Description
Human RBM25 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human RBM25 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr86-Ala224, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 17.90 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. RNA-binding protein 25 is a ~100 kDa protein. RNA-binding protein that acts as a regulator of alternative pre-mRNA splicing. For research use only.
Involved in apoptotic cell death through the regulation of the apoptotic factor BCL2L1 isoform expression. Modulates the ratio of proapoptotic BCL2L1 isoform S to antiapoptotic BCL2L1 isoform L mRNA expression. When overexpressed, stimulates proapoptotic BCL2L1 isoform S 5'-splice site (5'-ss) selection, whereas its depletion caused the accumulation of antiapoptotic BCL2L1 isoform L. Promotes BCL2L1 isoform S 5'-ss usage through the 5'-CGGGCA-3' RNA sequence.
