Human RDH16 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human RDH16 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Arg28-Lys288, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 31.21 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Retinol dehydrogenase 16 is a ~35 kDa protein. Oxidoreductase with a preference for NAD. For research use only.
Oxidizes all-trans-retinol, 9-cis-retinol, 11-cis-retinol and 13-cis-retinol to the corresponding aldehydes. Has higher activity towards CRBP-bound retinol than with free retinol. Also oxidizes 3-alpha-hydroxysteroids. Oxidizes androstanediol and androsterone to dihydrotestosterone and androstanedione.
