Description

Human RNF39 ELISA Kit (Small Sample Volume)

Human RNF39 ELISA kits are used to detect Ring Finger Protein 39 (RNF39) in tissue homogenates and other biological samples. RNF39, RING finger protein 39, is a member of the RING finger family of E3 ubiquitin ligases, encoded within the major histocompatibility complex region of the genome. It adds ubiquitin chains to target proteins and has been reported to have a dual role in antiviral innate immunity. By promoting Lys-48-linked ubiquitination of the adapter DDX3X it can dampen anti-RNA virus responses, whereas by promoting Lys-63-linked ubiquitination of STING it can enhance cGAS-STING pathway activation. It has also been reported to support replication of the human immunodeficiency virus. Because of its location and its immune functions, RNF39 is studied in innate immunity, viral infection and MHC-linked genetic association studies.
