Description
Human RP2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human RP2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp36-Ile350, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 37.58 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Protein XRP2 is a ~39 kDa protein. Acts as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) involved in trafficking between the Golgi and the ciliary membrane. For research use only.
Involved in localization of proteins, such as NPHP3, to the cilium membrane by inducing hydrolysis of GTP ARL3, leading to the release of UNC119 (or UNC119B). Acts as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for tubulin in concert with tubulin-specific chaperone C, but does not enhance tubulin heterodimerization. Acts as a guanine nucleotide dissociation inhibitor towards ADP-ribosylation factor-like proteins.
