Human RPS7 Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human RPS7 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Lys15-Leu194, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 22.94 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Small ribosomal subunit protein eS7 (RPS7) is a ~22 kDa protein. Component of the small ribosomal subunit. For research use only.

The ribosome is a large ribonucleoprotein complex responsible for the synthesis of proteins in the cell. Required for rRNA maturation. Part of the small subunit (SSU) processome, first precursor of the small eukaryotic ribosomal subunit. During the assembly of the SSU processome in the nucleolus, many ribosome biogenesis factors, an RNA chaperone and ribosomal proteins associate with the nascent pre-rRNA and work in concert to generate RNA folding, modifications, rearrangements and cleavage as well as targeted degradation of pre-ribosomal RNA by the RNA exosome.
