Description
Human SDHA Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SDHA Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser44-Tyr664, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 70.31 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Succinate dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] flavoprotein subunit, mitochondrial (SDHA) is a ~72 kDa protein. Flavoprotein (FP) subunit of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) that is involved in complex II of the mitochondrial electron transport chain and is responsible for transferring electrons from succinate to ubiquinone (coenzyme Q). For research use only.
SDH also oxidizes malate to the non-canonical enol form of oxaloacetate, enol-oxaloacetate. Enol-oxaloacetate, which is a potent inhibitor of the succinate dehydrogenase activity, is further isomerized into keto-oxaloacetate. Can act as a tumor suppressor.
