Description
Human SDHB Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SDHB Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Arg38-Val280, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 30.32 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Succinate dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur subunit, mitochondrial (SDHB) is a ~31 kDa protein. Iron-sulfur protein (IP) subunit of the succinate dehydrogenase complex (mitochondrial respiratory chain complex II), responsible for transferring electrons from succinate to ubiquinone (coenzyme Q). For research use only.
SDH also oxidizes malate to the non-canonical enol form of oxaloacetate, enol-oxaloacetate. Enol-oxaloacetate, which is a potent inhibitor of the succinate dehydrogenase activity, is further isomerized into keto-oxaloacetate.
