Human SESN3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Arg71-Ser312, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 30.16 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Sestrin-3 is a ~57 kDa protein. May function as an intracellular leucine sensor that negatively regulates the TORC1 signaling pathway. For research use only.
May also regulate the insulin-receptor signaling pathway through activation of TORC2. This metabolic regulator may also play a role in protection against oxidative and genotoxic stresses. May prevent the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) through the alkylhydroperoxide reductase activity born by the N-terminal domain of the protein.
