Description
Human SGPL1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SGPL1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser122-Tyr550, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 49.64 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Sphingosine-1-phosphate lyase 1 is a ~63 kDa protein. Cleaves phosphorylated sphingoid bases (PSBs), such as sphingosine-1-phosphate, into fatty aldehydes and phosphoethanolamine. For research use only.
Elevates stress-induced ceramide production and apoptosis. Required for global lipid homeostasis in liver and cholesterol homeostasis in fibroblasts. Involved in the regulation of pro-inflammatory response and neutrophil trafficking. Modulates neuronal autophagy via phosphoethanolamine production which regulates accumulation of aggregate-prone proteins such as APP.
