Description
Human SLC22A2/OCT2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SLC22A2/OCT2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly44-Asp150, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 14.13 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Solute carrier family 22 member 2 is a ~62 kDa protein. Electrogenic voltage-dependent transporter that mediates the transport of a variety of organic cations such as endogenous bioactive amines, cationic drugs and xenobiotics. For research use only.
Functions as a Na(+)-independent, bidirectional uniporter. Cation cellular uptake or release is driven by the electrochemical potential, i.e. membrane potential and concentration gradient. However, may also engage electroneutral cation exchange when saturating concentrations of cation substrates are reached.
