Description
Human SLC25A12 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SLC25A12 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly11-Gln311, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 36.56 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Electrogenic aspartate/glutamate antiporter SLC25A12, mitochondrial is a ~74 kDa protein. Mitochondrial electrogenic aspartate/glutamate antiporter that favors efflux of aspartate and entry of glutamate and proton within the mitochondria as part of the malate-aspartate shuttle. For research use only.
Also mediates the uptake of L-cysteinesulfinate (3-sulfino-L-alanine) by mitochondria in exchange of L-glutamate and proton. Can also exchange L-cysteinesulfinate with aspartate in their anionic form without any proton translocation. Lacks transport activity towards L-glutamine or gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA).
