Human SLC29A1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human SLC29A1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn30-Asn82&Arg228-Val291, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 15.39 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Equilibrative nucleoside transporter 1 is a ~50 kDa protein. Uniporter involved in the facilitative transport of nucleosides and nucleobases, and contributes to maintaining their cellular homeostasis. For research use only.

Functions as a Na(+)-independent transporter. Involved in the transport of nucleosides such as adenosine, guanosine, inosine, uridine, thymidine and cytidine. Also transports purine nucleobases (hypoxanthine, adenine, guanine) and pyrimidine nucleobases (thymine, uracil). Mediates basolateral nucleoside uptake into Sertoli cells, thereby regulating the transport of nucleosides in testis across the blood-testis barrier.
