Human SOD2 (Superoxide Dismutase 2, Mitochondrial) ELISA Kit
The Human SOD2 (Superoxide Dismutase 2, Mitochondrial) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the precise and quantitative detection of human SOD2 levels in various biological samples. Superoxide Dismutase 2 (SOD2) is a critical mitochondrial antioxidant enzyme that plays a pivotal role in protecting cells against oxidative stress by scavenging harmful superoxide radicals. Mitochondrial SOD2 is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, redox balance, and protecting vital organelles from oxidative damage. This ELISA kit offers researchers a reliable means to quantify SOD2 expression levels, providing valuable insights into the antioxidant defense mechanisms within mitochondria. By accurately measuring SOD2 levels, researchers can study oxidative stress-related conditions, mitochondrial dysfunction, and diseases associated with impaired antioxidant responses. The Human SOD2 ELISA Kit is characterized by exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring accurate and reproducible results. Manufactured under stringent quality control standards, this kit delivers robust performance and user-friendly protocols, making it an optimal choice for investigations focused on mitochondrial antioxidant systems, oxidative stress, and related pathophysiological processes in human samples.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to the target protein. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and bind to the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated detection antibody specific to the target protein is then added, followed by Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well, resulting in a color change. Only wells containing the target protein, detection antibody, and HRP conjugate will develop a blue color. The reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution, resulting in a yellow color. The optical density (OD) is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is directly proportional to the concentration of the target protein in the sample and is determined using a standard curve.
