Human SOX30 Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human SOX30 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr292-Gly403, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 14.94 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Transcription factor SOX-30 (SOX30) is a ~81 kDa protein. Acts both as a transcriptional activator and a repressor. For research use only.

Binds to the DNA sequence 5'-ACAAT-3' and shows a preference for guanine residues surrounding this core motif. Binds to its own promoter and activates its own transcription. Required to activate the expression of postmeiotic genes involved in spermiogenesis. Binds to the promoter region of CTNNB1 and represses its transcription which leads to inhibition of Wnt signaling.
