Description
Human SP1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SP1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Leu260-Ala591, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 35.77 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Transcription factor Sp1 is a ~80 kDa protein. Transcription factor that can activate or repress transcription in response to physiological and pathological stimuli. For research use only.
Binds with high affinity to GC-rich motifs and regulates the expression of a large number of genes involved in a variety of processes such as cell growth, apoptosis, differentiation and immune responses. Highly regulated by post-translational modifications (phosphorylations, sumoylation, proteolytic cleavage, glycosylation and acetylation). Also binds the PDGFR-alpha G-box promoter. May have a role in modulating the cellular response to DNA damage.
