Description
Human SPARC Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SPARC Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala18-Ile303, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 34.99 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. SPARC (Osteonectin) is a ~34 kDa protein. Appears to regulate cell growth through interactions with the extracellular matrix and cytokines. For research use only.
Binds calcium and copper, several types of collagen, albumin, thrombospondin, PDGF and cell membranes. There are two calcium binding sites; an acidic domain that binds 5 to 8 Ca(2+) with a low affinity and an EF-hand loop that binds a Ca(2+) ion with a high affinity.
