Description
Human SRPRA Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SRPRA Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Arg335-Ala638, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 35.43 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Signal recognition particle receptor subunit alpha (SRPRA) is a ~69 kDa protein. Component of the signal recognition particle (SRP) complex receptor (SR). For research use only.
Ensures, in conjunction with the SRP complex, the correct targeting of the nascent secretory proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane system. Forms a guanosine 5'-triphosphate (GTP)-dependent complex with the SRP subunit SRP54. SRP receptor compaction and GTPase rearrangement drive SRP-mediated cotranslational protein translocation into the ER.
