Human SSB Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SSB Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn4-Glu194, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 24.64 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Lupus La protein (SSB) is a ~46 kDa protein. Binds to the 3' poly(U) terminus of nascent RNA polymerase III transcripts, protecting them from exonuclease digestion and facilitating their folding and maturation. For research use only.
In case of Coxsackievirus B3 infection, binds to the viral internal ribosome entry site (IRES) and stimulates the IRES-mediated translation.
