Description
Human SSR1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SSR1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser82-Glu198, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 15.49 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Translocon-associated protein subunit alpha (SSR1) is a ~32 kDa protein. TRAP proteins are part of a complex whose function is to bind calcium to the ER membrane and thereby regulate the retention of ER resident proteins. For research use only.
May be involved in the recycling of the translocation apparatus after completion of the translocation process or may function as a membrane-bound chaperone facilitating folding of translocated proteins.
