Human SST Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SST Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Cys116, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 14.9 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Somatostatin (SST) is a ~12 kDa protein. Inhibits the secretion of pituitary hormones, including that of growth hormone/somatotropin (GH1), PRL, ACTH, luteinizing hormone (LH) and TSH. For research use only.
Also impairs ghrelin- and GnRH-stimulated secretion of GH1 and LH; the inhibition of ghrelin-stimulated secretion of GH1 can be further increased by neuronostatin.
