Human STAMBP Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Lys126-Ser368, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 29.43 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. STAM-binding protein (STAMBP) is a ~48 kDa protein. Zinc metalloprotease that specifically cleaves 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains. For research use only.
Does not cleave 'Lys-48'-linked polyubiquitin chains. Plays a role in signal transduction for cell growth and MYC induction mediated by IL-2 and GM-CSF. Potentiates BMP (bone morphogenetic protein) signaling by antagonizing the inhibitory action of SMAD6 and SMAD7. Has a key role in regulation of cell surface receptor-mediated endocytosis and ubiquitin-dependent sorting of receptors to lysosomes.
