Human STAT3 Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Met770, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 114.35 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) is a ~88 kDa protein. Once activated, recruits coactivators, such as NCOA1 or MED1, to the promoter region of the target gene. May mediate cellular responses to activated FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. Upon activation of IL6ST/gp130 signaling by interleukin-6 (IL6), binds to the IL6-responsive elements identified in the promoters of various acute-phase protein genes. Activated by IL31 through IL31RA.
