Description
Human STEAP3 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human STEAP3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Lys30-Arg207, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 21.53 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Metalloreductase STEAP3 is a ~54 kDa protein. Integral membrane protein that functions as a NADPH-dependent ferric-chelate reductase, using NADPH from one side of the membrane to reduce a Fe(3+) chelate that is bound on the other side of the membrane. For research use only.
Mediates sequential transmembrane electron transfer from NADPH to FAD and onto heme, and finally to the Fe(3+) chelate. Can also reduce Cu(2+) to Cu(1+). Mediates efficient transferrin-dependent iron uptake in erythroid cells. May play a role downstream of p53/TP53 to interface apoptosis and cell cycle progression.
