Human STMN1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala2-Asp149, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 19.46 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Stathmin (STMN1) is a ~17 kDa protein. Involved in the regulation of the microtubule (MT) filament system by destabilizing microtubules. For research use only.
Prevents assembly and promotes disassembly of microtubules. Phosphorylation at Ser-16 may be required for axon formation during neurogenesis. Involved in the control of the learned and innate fear.
