Description
Human STMN2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human STMN2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser80-Ser178, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Stathmin-2 is a ~20 kDa protein. Regulator of microtubule stability. For research use only.
When phosphorylated by MAPK8, stabilizes microtubules and consequently controls neurite length in cortical neurons. In the developing brain, negatively regulates the rate of exit from multipolar stage and retards radial migration from the ventricular zone.
