Description
Human SUMF1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SUMF1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Glu113-Ser356, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 29.99 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Formylglycine-generating enzyme (SUMF1) is a ~40 kDa protein. Oxidase that catalyzes the conversion of cysteine to 3-oxoalanine on target proteins, using molecular oxygen and an unidentified reducing agent. 3-oxoalanine modification, which is also named formylglycine (fGly), occurs in the maturation of arylsulfatases and some alkaline phosphatases that use the hydrated form of 3-oxoalanine as a catalytic nucleophile. Known substrates include GALNS, ARSA, STS and ARSE.
