Description
Human SVIL Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SVIL Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Val1385-Thr1525, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 18.05 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Supervillin (SVIL) is a ~247 kDa protein. Forms a high-affinity link between the actin cytoskeleton and the membrane. For research use only.
Is among the first costameric proteins to assemble during myogenesis and it contributes to myogenic membrane structure and differentiation. Appears to be involved in myosin II assembly. May modulate myosin II regulation through MLCK during cell spreading, an initial step in cell migration. May play a role in invadopodial function.
